Coastal South Carolina Fish
The Charleston waters are rich with fish species such as the super tasty flounder, sheepshead, and black seabass and you’ll be catching them all! The mild weather off the South Carolina coast allows the fish to be active and present year round. You can also catch redfish, spotted seatrout, black drum, bonnethead shark and jack crevalle.
Jesse is very professional and extremely knowledgeable of the Charleston area. He knew all the right places to take us to get a big catch. I was thrilled with my charter and can’t wait to come back next year. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family!

I had an awesome trip today. The weather was perfect and the the tuna were biting! This was my first trip on a chartered boat, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Jesse was very patient with us and really helped us make the most of the day. Four stars!

Jesse is a very professional guide and extremely knowledgeable of the waters in the Charleston area. He knew all the right places to take us to get a big catch. We started out fishing the “skinny waters” behind Isle of Palms and caught numerous slot-length red drum, a few really nice black drum and even one sheepshead chomping at a pier piling. We then moved into Charleston Harbor and hooked-up on big bull reds in the 36-inch range to end a perfect day.

Great trip with Captain Jesse! Very personable and knowledgeable. Everything was perfect, he even ordered some great weather! Would fish with Captain Jesse again, and certainly would recommend.
We had a great family fishing trip out in the creeks, harbor and inlet the 4th of July. The fishing vessel was new and outfitted well with the latest technology and plenty of seating and storage for the fish we caught (we had 5 adults plus the captain). Captain Jesse was great to guide us on the trip and did everything possible to help us find the fish. We caught a wide range of fish including Redfish (3), Spotted Seatrout (1), Flounder (1) and a Blacktop shark (1). Our daughters enjoyed both fishing as well as being out on the saltwater inlets, creeks and harbor during our trip. We would highly recommend Tight Line Charters to everyone who would like to enjoy a great day fishing with Capt Jesse.
I recently had a great day fishing with Jesse at Tight Line Charters. He grew up on the waters around Charleston and is very knowledgeable and professional. Jesse was very responsive to texts and email before the trip. He keeps his boat and equipment in great shape. He came to the dock with a live well of shrimp and ready to fish. We caught so many redfish and black drum we lost count. I plan to use him again.
Had a blast! Perfect day on the water and Captain Jesse put me on fish all day long in several different locations. Jesse clearly knows his craft and knows his way around the Charleston fisheries. I will absolutely be chartering with Jesse at Tightlines on my next trip to Charleston.
Capt Jesse is a great guy to go fishing with. He took us straight to the honey holes and we quickly had our limit of Black Drum, then released more. We also caught several Red Drum to complete a great catch. He has a beautiful 21’ Sportsman that he handles with ease. We will book with Capt Jesse on our next trip to Charleston/Mt Pleasant. You should do the same.
