Had a great day shark fishing with our young grandsons. They caught both hammerhead sharks and red drum. Our daughter won the prize for the largest catch: a 35.5” drum! The boat was super clean, had storage for our bit of bagged carry on needs, and ran beautifully. This was not our first trip with Capt. Jesse. He’s an excellent host and makes sure everyone has a memorable time.
We had the best morning fishing with Captain Jesse! We went nearshore for sharks and bull reds and had such a fun trip. We caught a hammerhead, several other sharks, and some huge bull reds, which was so exciting for everyone.
Captain Jesse was super friendly, great with the kids, and made the whole trip easy and fun. We’d definitely book with Tight Line Charters again!

We had a great time fishing with Captain Jesse. He is a professional fisherman with many years experience and it shows in his knowledge of his craft, the way he manages and meticulously maintains his boat., and his ability to teach even the most novice clients how to catch fish. Combine this with his friendly nature and his commitment to making the experience memorable and you cannot go wrong with Tight Line Charters. It was truly an exceptional experience.
We had an amazing experience with Tight Line Charters! I booked the four-hour morning fishing trip for my two teenage boys while we were visiting Charleston, and they absolutely loved it. They came back so excited and said it was one of the highlights of our entire trip.
Everything was easy from booking to pickup at Shem Creek, and they had a fantastic time out on the water. They got plenty of fishing in and had such a great experience with the captain Jessie. As a mom, I also really appreciated feeling completely comfortable sending the boys out on their own.
If you’re visiting Charleston and have teenagers who love fishing, I highly recommend Tight Line Charters. We would absolutely book with them again the next time we’re in Charleston! 🎣

I can not say enough good things about this excursion. First thing it exceeded my expectations. Bottled water was available at no additional cost. This experience was not like other charters I’ve been on with like 20+ people all fishing from the same boat. I booked the additional hr and glad I did because I was in a fight with perhaps may be the biggest fish I may ever land in my life. By Jesse’s account it was a six foot long shark weighing probably in the neighborhood of 250 lbs. couldn’t quite see what type but it was a lot of fun. My son was able to reel in a baby hammerhead after being bait robbed so many times. From the moment our lines hit the water fish were active. While I recognize this may not always be the case while fishing what I can say is Captain Jesse was great to talk to and was quick to replace broken tackle, cut bait or whatever. I recommend any fish enthusiast coming to Charleston to book a trip with him. I know I will if back here. Heck I would come back here again for the sole purpose of fishing with him.
What a WONDERFUL experience! We have never fished before. Captain Jesse was really nice and best of all has a ton of knowledge and patience. My husband and teen boys all together caught multiple fishes! They totally had an amazing time and we highly recommend booking with Captain Jesse.
My son did their summer camp and he had the time of his life and learned a lot! It’s worth every penny! Will definitely be going again next year.
This is the second summer my 8 year old son has done a week long fishing camp with Lowcountry Fishing Camp. He looks forward to it all year and it is the best week of the summer for him. Captain Jesse and his crew do an amazing job teaching the campers how to fish and help everyone with some epic catches all week. They take safety seriously and know great spots to fish and swim. It’s also fun to see instagram updates throughout the day to see what they are catching and watch all of the fun they are having. Can’t wait until next year!
This was my son’s 3rd year at Lowcountry kids fishing camp!!! It’s his favorite camp EVERY YEAR!!! The captains are wonderful and so patient with them! Can’t wait for next year!
