Shark Fishing Charter in Charleston

Sharks are the ultimate predator, and Charleston is home to one of the largest populations on the East Coast. When you head out with Tight Lines, you usually do not have to wait long before the rod bends and the drag starts screaming! Shark fishing is a great way to test your strength and spend an action-packed day on the water. We target a variety of species throughout the year including Black Tip, Atlantic Sharpnose, Bonnethead, Scalloped Hammerhead, and the heavy-hitting Bull Shark. Our shark trips are perfect for both hardcore anglers looking for a fight and families who want to see some of the ocean’s most impressive creatures up close. We stay within reach of the coast, meaning less travel time and more time with lines in the water. Whether it’s a hard-fighting Black Tip jumping behind the boat or a massive Bull Shark testing your endurance, we provide the heavy-duty gear and local knowledge to make sure your Charleston shark fishing adventure is one you’ll never forget.

    Catch and Release

As with most fishing guides, Tight Lines will release sharks that are caught for sport so they can return to live in our Lowcountry waters. We handle all sharks safely near the boat with the best interest of both the shark and the angler in mind.

While we focus on conservation, there are three specific species of shark in South Carolina that are good to eat and can be kept as long as all local size and bag limits are followed.

Beautiful scenery and so much fun catching multiple species of fish, Capt Jesse really cares about having his clients catch quality fish to ensure a memorable experience. He even made sure we went on a day with good weather and that we went at a good time of day. Nicest and most welcoming captain and we loved talking with him. Captain Jesse was great. He was easy to communicate with. He was very accommodating when my 5 year old was feeling sea sick. He worked hard to find us other spots where we could fish with calmer waters that still provided a great experience. He knows a lot about the area and fishing in general. We had a great time and highly recommend him!
