Finally that long cold winter and freeze that was casted upon us this year in the low country finally coming to an end! With the cool air and strong April winds and rain slowly turning its back on us, we are able to enjoy that nice warm summer air! May is finally starting to show its face out on the water here in Charleston. The water is still a little cool but slowly warming up with the start of warmer weather we’ve had the past few weeks and with that comes lively fish in good numbers along with big fish! We’ve had great luck in the tidal creeks in and around the Charleston area and we are catching redfish, black drum, trout, flounder, and sheepshead with a handful of other species on the hook as well. The sharks and bull reds are starting to make an appearance in the harbor now as well!  My choice of bait right now is live and frozen shrimp, mud minnows and live blue crab. While out with us you can also enjoy watching the dolphins play as you take in the rich history Charleston has to offer like the Charleston Battery, Fort Sumter, the Yorktown, Fort Moultrie, James town landing and much more all from your own private front row seat by the water. We also have multiple pick up locations around the town wether your staying on Kiawah, Johns Island, Folly beach, James island, downtown Charleston, Daniel Island, North Charleston, Isle of Palms, Sullivans Island, or even right here in Mt. Pleasant we’ve got you covered! So come get hooked with Tight Line Charters of Charleston for your all inclusive charter for some reel screaming action and fun in the sun you’ll be dying to come back for!
